Garmin GSD 28 Sonar Module
Enhanced Sonar Module with xCHIRP Technology
The Garmin GSD 28 is a high-powered sonar module built for sport fishing that allows you to reach further depths with superior clarity. Built-in outputs from 300 watts up to 3kW as well as RapidReturn sonar technology allow anglers a faster deep water scrolling capability with 2 to 6 times faster rate than the previous GSD 26 model offered. This high-performance technology allows you to make decisions on the fly based on what’s below your boat. Dual-channel CHIRP, up to 3kW per channel, with frequency ranges of 25 to 50kHz ensures every need is met when you add the GSD 28 to your current Garmin electronics outfit.
XChirp Technology allows you to easily distinguish bait from sport fish with excellent target separation and clearer fish arch imaging. Smoother bottom returns and precise targeting are key when fishing and Garmin kept that in mind when designing the GSD 28. Simplifying the image you receive when fishing, especially in rough seas, Garmin built this sonar hub with the ability to connect the MSC 10 external satellite compass (sold separately) to reduce swell and wave interferences from your sonar returns ensuring each image you see while fishing is clear and accurate.
Compatible with a wide range of Airmar and Garmin transducers (sold separately), anglers can be sure they will be able to find a transducer tailored for their specific fishing needs ensuring each time on the water is a successful one. If you have an existing bare wire transducer, the GSD 28 can easily be retrofitted to adapt to what you already have making installation a breeze. The depths of the deep blue are revealed with the Garmin GSD 28.
